Airships: epic adventures in The Poison Sky

IN THE ARCHIPELAGO, the seas are nothing but acidic clouds at the foot of the world, airships rule the skies — in trade, in exploration, and in battle — and superstition rules the minds and hearts of men.

None of that is for Nym. Son of a poor but influential Lesserman merchant, Nym wants nothing to do with his father, his business, or the airships he owns. He wants to pursue Philosophy, a new school of reason and science now taking hold on the distant island of Sunrise.

Then the Harald is assassinated. War declared. Far from pursuing philosophy, Nym finds himself somewhere he never expected, forced to contend with airships, with superstition, and with his own lowly status as a Lesserman.

Now this quiet philosopher must learn to fly and fight, to steer a course through a world verging on chaos, before his own discoveries destroy everything he loves.
